This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee daily field activities to ensure appropriate patient access in major neurology centers and provider offices.
• Implement collaborative territory strategies with both internal and external partners, including HUB/call center services, sales, market access, and additional allies.
• Engage in field interactions 60–70% of the time with stakeholders at physician practices, hospitals, and other care locations.
• Provide education to healthcare provider staff regarding approved patient access services.
• Work in conjunction with internal field teams to deliver educational support in the designated geography.
• Analyze and inform offices about payer policies, particularly focusing on prior authorization requirements.
• Review patient-specific data when sites request assistance in resolving coverage challenges.
• Relay feedback to internal teams concerning local payer trends and access concerns.
• Carry out additional tasks as necessary.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in payer policy and reimbursement.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in benefit verification and prior authorization requirements, or equivalent experience in patient access, billing, and coding.
• Experience in rare diseases is preferred.
• Familiarity with the policies and processes of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
• Experience with Medicare Part D is required.
• Demonstrated self-direction along with robust organizational skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, a consultative approach, and a customer-focused orientation.
• Proven capability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, along with training/presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office is essential.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 60–70% of the time.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary for travel to healthcare provider locations.
