Field Operations Team Lead, Controls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Supervise the commissioning, integration, and optimization of SCADA, EPMS, and BMS within mission-critical and various other facilities.

• Ensure that systems are installed, tested, and operate in alignment with project specifications and operational needs.

• Lead a diverse team and engage with stakeholders effectively.

• Promote ongoing enhancements in system performance and reliability.

• Create and implement training programs for SCADA, EPMS, and BMS technologies.

• Cultivate a collaborative team atmosphere and encourage professional development.

• Allocate resources efficiently to fulfill project demands.

• Identify and recruit talent for the Field Operations team.

• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

• Facilitate safety training programs and procedures.

• Guide teams through commissioning alongside project managers, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

• Oversee the integration of SCADA, EPMS, and BMS with other building systems.

• Develop and implement testing and validation strategies.

• Collaborate with project managers, construction crews, and client representatives during transitions from construction to commissioning.

• Maintain detailed records of commissioning activities and system documentation.

• Implement and uphold quality control measures.

• Enhance system performance, reliability, and energy efficiency through design optimization and maintainability.

• Provide insights on new technologies or platforms.

• Optimize team productivity, streamline processes, and enhance efficiency.

• Perform additional related duties as required and assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning SCADA and BMS systems.

• Strong expertise in project management and system integration.

• Ideally, at least 2 years of team leadership or management experience.

• Proficiency in SCADA, EPMS, and BMS technologies.

• Familiarity with IT and networking systems.

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

• Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work at any time on any day as business needs arise.
