Field Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Enhance service delivery by monitoring and reporting on client and vendor performance from an on-site user perspective.

• Offer the Operations team valuable local insights regarding customer needs and vendor business practices.

• Act as the representative for SMS concerning Fire/Life Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, and Disaster Recovery.

• Provide administrative assistance for in-person matters, which include municipal offices and code inspections.

• Address high-priority facilities issues through local engagement prior to client escalation.

• Promote the adoption of SMS technology solutions by showcasing the platform's value to both customers and vendors.

• Cultivate and sustain client relationships while aiding in the development and execution of operational solutions.

• Proactively oversee services at locations without permanent client staff, such as vacant sites and off-premise ATM locations.

• Supervise third-party vendor activities at client sites and represent SMS when projects transition into the Facilities portfolio.

• Execute approved non-maintenance facilities management tasks.

• Conduct both scheduled and unscheduled quality assurance visits.

• Establish vendor relationships to ensure seamless, high-quality service and advantageous pricing.

• Communicate insights and recommendations derived from client data with actionable conclusions.

• Facilitate the flow of information among customers, affiliates, and the SMS Operations team.

• Encourage a positive team atmosphere and may provide coaching or mentoring to team members.

• Safeguard the confidentiality and accuracy of both internal and external data.

• Undertake ad-hoc projects and other assigned responsibilities.

• Travel up to 60% within the designated geographic area.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess specialized knowledge in facilities management along with general knowledge of building maintenance trades.

• Required proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance management, or building maintenance trades is necessary.

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
