Field Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Enhance service delivery to clients by observing and documenting performance and experiences from an on-site user perspective, encompassing both customer and vendor viewpoints.

• Offer the Operations team valuable local insights regarding the specific requirements of customers in the designated market and the intricacies of collaborating with local vendors.

• Act as a representative for SMS concerning Fire/Life Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, and Disaster Recovery matters.

• Provide administrative support for in-person engagements, such as municipal office visits and code inspections.

• Address facility issues through local participation on high-priority matters prior to escalation to clients.

• Promote the use of SMS technology solutions by showcasing the platform's benefits to both customers and vendors.

• Establish and nurture professional relationships with clients while assisting in the development and implementation of solutions.

• Oversee service delivery at sites without permanent client staff, including vacant properties and off-site ATM locations.

• Supervise third-party vendor activities at client locations and represent SMS during the acceptance of projects into the Facilities portfolio.

• Execute authorized non-maintenance facilities management tasks.

• Provide consistently high-quality service through both scheduled and unscheduled quality assurance visits.

• Cultivate vendor partnerships to ensure smooth, high-quality service and competitive pricing.

• Share findings and recommendations based on client data, including actionable insights.

• Facilitate communication among customers, affiliates, and the SMS Operations team.

• Promote a positive team atmosphere and offer coaching or mentoring as necessary.

• Maintain confidentiality and ensure the accuracy of both internal and external data.

• Undertake ad-hoc projects and other assigned responsibilities.

• Travel up to 60% within the designated geographic area.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess in-depth knowledge of facilities management along with general understanding of building maintenance trades.

• Required proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance management, or building maintenance trades is essential.

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
