
Field Operations Administrator – Structured Cabling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with recruiting and project leadership to forecast necessary team members.
• Identify and conduct preliminary screening of potential field team candidates.
• Assist new team members in navigating Mortenson and discovering available resources.
• Maintain confidential files related to management.
• Aid in resolving HR and payroll-related issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
• Request new IT accounts for field leaders and facilitate benefits enrollment.
• Oversee craft team member transfers, including the management of transfer letters and updates on mobility eligibility.
• Conduct field orientation sessions for newly hired craft team members.
• Support project administrators with the onboarding process for new craft hires and ensure adequate site coverage.
• Ensure that new-hire documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Audit postings related to drug screenings, conversions, and craft team transfers.
• Maintain applicant logs and streamline the logistics for new hires.
• Organize onsite safety, quality, and craft training events, including arrangements for venues, rooms, equipment, and catering.
• Keep training logs, ensure record retention, and track LMS credit completion.
• Coordinate enrollment for offsite training and monitor required pre-work.
• Prepare and distribute training materials as needed.
• Set up and dismantle training rooms post-event.
• Maintain records of training events and support the assignment of LMS credits.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in providing administrative support.
• At least 2 years of experience in the construction or a related industry.
• Familiarity with general safety protocols within the construction field.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
• Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in project management, leadership, and business acumen.
• Adept problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Capability to maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive information.
• Strong facilitation, speaking, and presentation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Active listening skills coupled with effective communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment visa sponsorship.
