Field Merchandiser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Travel to convenience store locations within the designated territory

• Organize and stock products to enhance visibility and boost sales

• Create visually appealing displays and ensure shelf organization

• Track inventory levels and place orders as required

• Complete invoicing, reporting, and route documentation tasks

• Foster positive relationships with store managers and staff

• Efficiently manage the route while working independently

• Represent Max Distributing in a professional manner at every account

• Provide support to convenience store accounts throughout the Charleston area

• Conduct multiple store visits each day and drive up to 100 miles per day

• Inspect, stock, and maintain merchandise and advertising displays

• Deliver products directly to designated stores

• Process orders and submit reports after visits

• Generate invoices for restock orders and ensure timely, accurate deliveries

• Maintain product displays, signage, and ensure planogram accuracy

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred experience in retail, merchandising, customer service, delivery, hospitality, sales, route, or account management

• No prior industry experience necessary; training will be provided

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

• Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently

• Well-organized with strong time management skills

• Comfortable using mobile applications, smartphones, tablets, and basic technology

• Ability to lift, stock, and merchandise products throughout the day

• Physically capable of lifting 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally

• Ability to climb and work at heights ranging from 9 to 12 feet

• Frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching required

• Valid U.S. driver's license in good standing for a minimum of 3 years

• Acceptable driving record

• Must reside within the assigned territory

• Willingness to travel overnight at least two nights per week

• Open to traveling overnight up to 30% and outside the assigned geography with advance notice

• Capable of completing multiple store visits daily and driving up to 100 miles per day

• Comfortable engaging in professional sales conversations with retail personnel

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Professional work ethic, strong time management and organizational skills, integrity, professionalism, and problem-solving abilities
