Field IT Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure the efficient operation of IT services across field locations in line with Republic Services’ business goals.

• Plan, coordinate, and execute IT-related initiatives and projects in accordance with company standards.

• Provide second-level support for Wide Area Networks (WANs), Local Area Networks (LANs), field servers, and specific applications used in the field.

• Offer on-call and on-site assistance and remediation as necessary.

• Act as a liaison among field personnel, management, vendors, and Corporate IT.

• Identify, implement, and document proactive solutions that enhance operational efficiency or reduce costs.

• Participate in the installation, replacement, and disposal of computer hardware in the field.

• Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure at field sites.

• Troubleshoot and manage the installation of Cisco VOIP phone systems, including user additions, modifications, and relocations.

• Collaborate with third-party consultants as needed.

• Manage vendor relationships concerning IT services, cabling, hardware, software, and IT supplies.

• Provide timely activity reports as required by management.

• Carry out other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in computer networking.

• Proficiency with Cisco VOIP/UCCE technology.

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required.

• 2 to 4 years of experience supporting a decentralized IT environment, encompassing end-user systems, local infrastructure, and overall IT services.
