Field IT Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure the effective operation of IT services at field locations in accordance with Republic Services’ strategic goals.

• Strategically plan, coordinate, and execute IT-related initiatives and projects that adhere to company standards.

• Provide level two support for Wide Area Networks (WANs), Local Area Networks (LANs), field servers, and designated field applications.

• Offer on-call and on-site support or remediation as needed.

• Act as a liaison among field staff, management, vendors, and Corporate IT.

• Identify, implement, and report on proactive solutions that enhance operational efficiency or reduce costs.

• Participate in the installation, replacement, and disposal of field computer hardware.

• Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure at field locations.

• Troubleshoot and manage Cisco VOIP phone system installations, including user additions, modifications, and relocations.

• Collaborate with third-party consultants.

• Develop and sustain vendor relationships for IT services and supplies.

• Provide timely activity reports as requested by management.

• Execute other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in computer networking.

• Proficiency in Cisco VOIP/UCCE.

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required.

• 2–4 years of experience supporting a decentralized IT environment, encompassing end-user systems, local infrastructure, and overall IT services.

• Capability to provide on-call and on-site support or remediation as required.

• Proficient in troubleshooting and administering Cisco VOIP phone system installations.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with third-party consultants and vendors.

• Competence in managing IT infrastructure at field locations.
