Field IT Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure the efficient operation of IT services at field locations in alignment with the business goals of Republic Services.

• Strategically plan, coordinate, and execute IT-related initiatives and projects in accordance with company standards.

• Provide second-level support for WANs, LANs, field servers, and specific field applications, including on-call and on-site assistance as necessary.

• Serve as the communication link between field personnel, management, vendors, and Corporate IT.

• Identify, implement, and report proactive solutions that yield cost savings or enhance operational efficiencies.

• Engage in the installation, replacement, and disposal of field computer hardware.

• Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure at field locations.

• Troubleshoot and manage Cisco VOIP phone system installations, including user additions, modifications, and relocations.

• Collaborate with third-party consultants as needed.

• Establish, maintain, and manage vendor relationships for the provision of IT services and supplies.

• Provide prompt reports on activities as instructed by management.

• Carry out other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4 years of experience in computer networking.

• Proficiency with Cisco VOIP/UCCE.

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

• 2–4 years of experience supporting a decentralized IT environment, covering end-user systems, local infrastructure, and overall IT services.
