This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
β’ Install, set up, and troubleshoot POS systems, personal computers, printers, scanners, routers, switches, wireless access points, and other related technologies.
β’ Pull, route, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling in accordance with industry standards.
β’ Conduct pre-installation site surveys to determine installation requirements.
β’ Interpret blueprints, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
β’ Work collaboratively with Project Managers, clients, and fellow technicians to ensure projects are completed safely and on time.
β’ Diagnose hardware, connectivity, and installation problems in the field.
β’ Keep accurate installation records and project documentation.
β’ Ensure that company equipment, tools, and vehicles are well-maintained.
β’ Provide exceptional customer service while representing DecisionPoint Technologies in a professional manner.
β’ Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is required.
β’ 2β3 years of field service experience in repairing mechanical and electronic hardware.
β’ Prior experience in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, or other healthcare settings is preferred.
β’ Certifications in printer repair, networking, or field service are advantageous.
β’ Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
β’ Experience servicing Zebra thermal printers, barcode printers, or healthcare printing solutions.
β’ Familiarity with network-connected printing devices.
β’ Awareness of HIPAA regulations and experience working in patient-care environments.
β’ Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
β’ Strong written documentation skills.
β’ Experience managing multiple service calls while keeping tools and inventory organized.
β’ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
β’ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
β’ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
β’ Comfortable with climbing ladders, navigating healthcare environments, and traveling across the assigned territory.
β’ Approximately 90% travel expected throughout the Midwest and other parts of the United States.
β’ Overnight travel will be necessary.
β’ Weekend work may be required based on customer schedules and project timelines.
β’ Capable of regularly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
β’ Adequate visual acuity, hearing, and communication skills to inspect hardware, read screens and labels, perform quality testing, and collaborate effectively.
