Field Install Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of Boon Edam products.

• Offer product service and support through phone communication and on-site visits within the local branch area.

• Collaborate with general contractors, subcontractors, and end-users to ensure the professional, safe, and efficient installation of Boon Edam products.

• Engage remotely with the Customer Support team at Boon Edam.

• Train less experienced installation and service technicians.

• Document and track installation and support materials for project record-keeping purposes.

• Receive assignments and operate independently from the factory.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ experience in Electrical/Electronic Theory, Plant Maintenance, or a related field.

• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.

• Capable of obtaining a U.S. passport for international travel.

• Willingness to travel 90% of the time.

• Knowledge of electrical skills, low voltage electronics, and high voltage electrical theory.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical circuits.

• Excellent mechanical installation abilities (layout, assembly, tie-in, etc.).

• Experienced in the use of hand tools such as cordless drills, hammers, levels, etc.

• Outstanding ability to read and understand mechanical and construction drawings.

• Strong telephone skills with excellent verbal and written communication.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, PC, and Internet Explorer.

• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

• Must successfully pass frequent OSHA, background checks, and drug screenings.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus but not required.
