Field Install Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of Boon Edam products.

• Offer product service and support through phone communication and on-site visits within the designated branch area.

• Collaborate with general contractors, subcontractors, and end-users to ensure the professional, safe, and efficient installation of Boon Edam products.

• Operate remotely in conjunction with the Customer Support team at Boon Edam.

• Mentor and train less experienced installation and service technicians.

• Document and manage installation and support materials for project record keeping.

• Accept assignments and work independently from the factory.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least two years of experience in Electrical/Electronic Theory, Plant Maintenance, or a related field.

• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.

• Must be able to obtain a U.S. passport for international travel.

• Willingness to travel 90% of the time.

• Proficient in electrical skills, low voltage electronics, and high voltage electrical theory.

• Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical circuits.

• Excellent mechanical installation skills, including layout, assembly, and tie-in.

• Familiar with hand tools such as cordless drills, hammers, and levels.

• Highly skilled in reading and understanding mechanical and construction drawings.

• Strong telephone communication skills along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, along with PC and Internet Explorer knowledge.

• Customer-oriented mindset.

• Must be able to routinely lift 50 lbs.

• Must successfully pass frequent OSHA, background, and drug screenings.

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is a plus but not required.
