This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
β’ Conduct research, assess, and propose tradeshows, conferences, and industry events that align with the target customer profile and revenue objectives.
β’ Maintain a dynamic 12-month event calendar.
β’ Cultivate relationships with event organizers, vendors, and venues.
β’ Negotiate sponsorships, booth space, speaking opportunities, and additional services.
β’ Plan and implement events from start to finish, including booth design and shipping, promotional items, collateral, lead capture, badge scanners, audiovisual needs, catering, hotel accommodations, and travel logistics.
β’ Attend each event in person as the main on-site contact.
β’ Set up and dismantle booths while addressing issues in real-time.
β’ Brief team members attending the events on goals, talking points, target accounts, and logistical details.
β’ Collaborate with the sales team to schedule pre-show meetings, host dinners and customer events, and capture, qualify, and follow up on leads.
β’ Execute pre- and post-event campaigns in conjunction with marketing, including email outreach, landing pages, paid promotions, and social media initiatives.
β’ Oversee event expenditures, monitor costs, provide accurate forecasts, identify risks, and make trade-off decisions.
β’ Establish event KPIs and generate post-event reports detailing leads, meetings, pipeline, ROI, and areas for improvement.
β’ 1 to 4 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or event coordination, preferably in B2B or technology sectors.
β’ Proven experience in managing events from conception to execution.
β’ Proficient in managing event budgets, forecasting, tracking expenditures, and optimizing ROI.
β’ Comfortable defining KPIs and creating reports that link event activities to pipeline and revenue.
β’ Demonstrated ability to utilize AI for automation or enhancement of tasks as an events marketer; this is essential.
β’ Familiarity with HubSpot.
β’ Strong project management abilities.
β’ Skilled in negotiating with vendors and event organizers.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems on the fly.
β’ Willingness and capability to travel 30 to 50% during peak event seasons across North America, with potential travel to Europe.
β’ Must reside within approximately one hour of a major airport hub with frequent direct flights.
β’ Must possess the right to work in the country where you reside; visa sponsorship is not available.
