Field Deployment Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and manage hardware, software, network systems, and operational applications at specified customer field locations.

• Perform pre-deployment testing and validation to ensure compatibility with federal IT environments.

• Assist with large-scale hardware deployments, infrastructure enhancement projects, and system modernization efforts.

• Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity problems impacting agency networks.

• Ascertain whether outages are due to commercial circuit failures or internal facility issues.

• Execute remediation actions, including component replacement, and escalate complex problems to Tier 3 field engineering.

• Collaborate with team members, customer representatives, internal management, external vendors, NOCs, network engineers, and field technicians.

• Carry out scheduled deployment activities and perform site surveys.

• Facilitate escalation procedures between field technicians and back-office engineering teams.

• Compile site deployment reports, post-installation verification logs, and incident analysis documents.

• Update project timelines, tracking matrices, and asset management systems.

• Keep program leadership and customer stakeholders informed about progress, risks, and deployment challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Secret clearance is mandatory and must be obtained prior to starting.

• CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications are required.

• A BA or BS degree with five years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma.

• A minimum of seven years of experience providing IT technical support to federal clients.

• Proficient with Cisco Layer 2/3 devices.

• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and related products.

• Familiarity with a rotating on-call schedule and responding to on-call requests.

• Previous experience with DHS or CBP is preferred.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Must be willing to travel across the United States.
