Field Data Specialist – Travel Position

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Travel independently by vehicle or aircraft to commercial locations including shopping centers, warehouses, and office parks.

• Utilize 3D cameras, laser measurement tools, and specialized software to capture accurate property data.

• Measure and record building dimensions.

• Document the locations of sprinklers and HVAC systems.

• Record details regarding windows, signage, and landscaping.

• Document utility meters, dumpsters, and parking information.

• Precisely document both interior and exterior features of the properties.

• Collect data and perform measurements.

• Input the gathered data with a focus on accuracy.

• Communicate with property managers to arrange access, appointments, and arrival times.

• Engage proactively with the Regional Manager and seek guidance from trainers, mentors, and colleagues.

• Generate accurate property data to support decision-making in the commercial real estate sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in mapping, property appraisal, inspections, GIS, data collection, data entry, land surveying, or other detail-oriented outdoor fieldwork is a plus.

• Comfortable working with ladders up to 30 feet high.

• Willingness to travel out of state from Monday to Friday and return home most weekends.

• Possess a reliable vehicle capable of transporting a 6-foot ladder and suitable for long-distance travel.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Capable of climbing ladders reaching up to 30 feet.

• Able to lift weights up to 50 lbs.

• Proficient in using iPads, laptops, mobile applications, and photography technology.

• Able to accurately follow detailed instructions.

• Self-motivated, organized, and focused while working independently.

• Comfortable communicating in a clear and professional manner with Regional Managers, trainers, mentors, colleagues, and property managers.

• Experience in site surveys, inspections, CAD, GIS mapping, or data entry is beneficial.

• Background in construction, HVAC, electrical, or similar hands-on fields is advantageous.

• Experience in land surveying, utility locating, archaeology, drone photography, or other remote fieldwork is a plus.
