This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct regular quality assurance evaluations for clients.
• Perform onboarding quality assurance assessments for newly hired consultants.
• Offer training to newly hired coding consultants as necessary.
• Communicate quality concerns to management.
• Assist in identifying, drafting, implementing, and monitoring quality improvement action plans.
• Maintain reports and accuracy metrics for coding consultants and clients.
• Address client quality assurance requirements as directed by management.
• Conduct educational sessions on error trends for coding consultants.
• Inform management about compliance issues or incidents.
• Handle patient information appropriately, ensuring confidentiality and discretion.
• Participate in educational conference calls.
• Provide coding support to the business as necessary.
• Undertake other project-related duties as required.
• Uphold required productivity and quality standards.
• Meet coding credential requirements.
• Perform quality assurance evaluations of outpatient coding specialists or external providers across various facility-based chart types.
• Validate accurate data abstraction into client electronic medical record systems.
• Adhere to ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, AMA CPT, and CMS coding guidelines.
• Track and analyze educational opportunities and report on quality outcomes.
• Provide educational support and training to coders and providers.
• Maintain a coding auditing accuracy rate of 95% or higher while achieving productivity standards.
• Candidates must hold an approved AHIMA or AAPC coding credential.
• A minimum of 4 years of coding experience is required.
• Specialty experience may be preferred based on specific client needs.
• A minimum of 2 years of auditing experience is preferred.
• At least 2 years of remote experience is recommended.
• Applicants for U.S.-based positions must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations is essential.
• Familiarity with Official ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Guidelines for Coding is required.
• Awareness of AMA CPT Guidelines and CMS directives is necessary.
