Field Applications Specialist, Molecular Diagnostics, QIAstat

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist with QIAGEN’s QIAstat-Dx instrument and its associated chemistries in the field.

• Set up instruments for use.

• Educate customers on product functionalities.

• Oversee evaluations of the product performance.

• Carry out regular follow-ups with customers.

• Diagnose and resolve product issues on-site.

• Showcase product capabilities to potential users.

• Deliver both pre- and post-sale technical assistance within the designated Texas territory.

• Engage in extensive travel across the territory.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or a related field.

• 2-5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or a similar field-based customer support role.

• Comprehensive understanding of wet lab molecular biology techniques in a clinical laboratory environment.

• Basic knowledge of NGS applications is advantageous.

• Proficiency in CRM software, especially Salesforce.com, is highly preferred.

• A customer-oriented demeanor, with the capability to foster positive relationships and engage in scientific discussions with clients.

• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for customers via phone, email, webinars, and face-to-face interactions.

• Ability to combine internal resources and field support to develop innovative solutions for customer inquiries.

• Highly organized and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

• Experience in project management is a significant plus.

• Willingness to travel 70% of the time, with approximately 40% involving overnight stays.

• Must reside near a major airport.
