Field Applications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee customer onboarding from the point of purchase through to implementation.

• Provide application-oriented training customized to align with customer workflows and proficiency levels.

• Inform customers about best practices to enhance instrument and application efficiency.

• Assist with the initial configuration, validation, and readiness of customer workflows.

• Deliver advanced application support and troubleshooting for various instruments and workflows.

• Tackle complex technical issues with customers and manage escalations with internal teams.

• Act as a reliable scientific advisor for ongoing application requirements.

• Promote utilization by offering proactive scientific consultation and optimizing workflows.

• Guide customers in refining workflows and achieving better outcomes.

• Identify gaps and suggest best-practice solutions.

• Enable measurable success with technologies and reagents.

• Enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and value realization.

• Cultivate trusted relationships with scientific stakeholders.

• Spot opportunities to broaden application usage and workflow diversity.

• Highlight unmet needs for additional products, reagents, or capabilities.

• Collaborate with Account Managers and Technical Sales Specialists on growth initiatives.

• Offer insights to inform territory and account development strategies.

• Work in collaboration with commercial, technical sales, service, and marketing teams.

• Assist in account-based customer engagement strategies.

• Provide field insights to aid in product development and training initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related discipline.

• Practical experience with flow cytometry applications and cell sorting.

• Strong troubleshooting skills across intricate workflows.

• Capability to translate scientific concepts into practical applications.

• Excellent training, communication, and presentation abilities.

• Valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.

• Willingness to travel extensively (60–70%), including multi-day overnight trips.

• Advanced degree in life sciences or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with spectral flow cytometry is preferred.

• Experience in operating and troubleshooting cell sorters is preferred.

• Previous customer-facing application support or training experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with FlowJo, Infinicyt, OMIQ, or FCS Express is preferred.

• Experience in workflow optimization and method development is preferred.

• Experience in cross-functional roles in commercial or field environments is preferred.
