Field Application Scientist – Flow Cytometry, 85% Travel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in broadening the customer base within research and diagnostic flow cytometry applications.

• Strive to meet annual financial objectives within the designated territory.

• Promote and showcase Beckman Coulter flow cytometry hardware, software, and consumables.

• Offer scientific and technical assistance for instruments, reagents, and integrated systems throughout the customer lifecycle.

• Oversee timely implementation, which includes on-site customer training and solution deployment.

• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive support and relationship management.

• Travel to client accounts within the territory, attend company training and meetings, as well as trade shows and conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related life science field.

• Significant flow cytometry experience (5+ years) in a clinical setting, including expertise in spectral flow cytometry.

• Excellent customer-facing skills and relationship-building abilities.

• Proficient in conveying complex technical information in a clear manner.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Capable of diagnosing and resolving intricate technical issues.

• Ability to collaborate across functions and document issues, root cause analyses, and solutions.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Competent in independently managing a travel-intensive schedule along with multiple customers and projects.

• Flexible in adapting to shifting priorities and urgent needs.

• Effective in working within a remote environment.

• Willingness to travel up to 85% annually, including overnight stays.

• Valid motor vehicle record is required.

• An MSc or PhD is preferred.

• Relevant laboratory experience in the subject supported.

• Solid foundation in immunology and hematology.
