Field Application Engineer – Embedded

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Assist customers and partners throughout the product evaluation, integration, development, testing, and production phases.

• Offer technical expertise for embedded firmware/SDK integration, Bluetooth connectivity, audio functionalities, and behavior of connected devices.

• Reproduce, troubleshoot, document, and manage/escalate customer issues within the organization.

• Collaborate closely with sales teams to facilitate customer discussions, design-in initiatives, and explore new business opportunities.

• Oversee customer samples, gather technical feedback, and communicate insights with internal product and engineering teams.

• Review and assist in the creation of customer-facing technical documentation, integration guides, specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts as needed.

• Travel for on-site customer support when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in Field Application Engineering, Technical Support, Customer Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Embedded Systems Engineering, or a related customer-facing technical role.

• Significant experience with embedded systems or firmware integration.

• Solid understanding of Bluetooth, BLE, audio products, hearables, wearables, or connected consumer devices.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities, including issue reproduction, root-cause analysis, debugging, documentation, and escalation processes.

• Capacity to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, simplifying complex topics for a customer-friendly understanding.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and adept at managing urgent customer issues and multiple priorities independently.

• Proficient in both Chinese and English, in spoken and written forms.

• Experience with Jieli / JLI, Qualcomm, Bluetrum, or similar chipset platforms (Nice to Have).

• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools, protocol analyzers, or simulation tools (Nice to Have).

• Experience with mobile applications or mobile application integration (Nice to Have).

• Background in consumer electronics, audio devices, semiconductor platforms, or hardware supply chains based in Shenzhen (Nice to Have).
