Senior Application Security Engineer – SCA/SAST

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Serve as the global expert in SCA and SAST.

• Create scalable and automated solutions for application security.

• Enhance security tools to minimize false positives and elevate the developer experience.

• Influence the organizational strategy for open-source security and license compliance.

• Collaborate with architects and product owners globally to integrate security into the SDLC.

• Establish automated security guardrails within CI/CD pipelines.

• Mentor security professionals and lead through influence within cross-functional teams.

• Assess emerging security technologies.

• Perform threat modeling and architectural evaluations.

• Direct SCA and SAST roadmaps and provide guidance to stakeholders on the application security strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Application Security (60+ months).

• Extensive, enterprise-level knowledge in implementing SCA and SAST.

• Proficient in reading Java, C#, Python, or Go code and suggesting remediation strategies.

• Practical experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.

• Capability to translate security risks into business value and actionable insights for engineers.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
