Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Offer technical assistance for the comprehensive Copeland product lineup, which includes compressors, controls, and accessories, to clients in Colombia and Venezuela.

• Choose appropriate products.

• Create application profiles and technical bulletins.

• Manage warranty processes.

• Coordinate the provision of samples.

• Facilitate customer training at specified locations.

• Develop cross-references and specific documentation to support commercial efforts.

• Provide production line assistance during pilot runs.

• Deliver field support and troubleshooting services.

• Act as a liaison between end users and OEMs to uncover opportunities for specifying Copeland products.

• Engage proactively with Product Engineering, Marketing, Customer Service, Quality, and Sales through assigned tasks to improve customer support.

• Represent Copeland at industry events and conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.

• Preferably 2-5 years of experience in application/product engineering related to AC and/or Refrigeration.

• Strong communication skills, with the capability to effectively present to customers, including large audiences and senior management.

• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics.

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical circuits.

• Familiarity with quality metrics.

• Competence in using measuring and adjusting tools.

• Strong customer orientation.

• Proficient in both Spanish and English.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
