Application Support Engineer, Level 1

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance to B2B customers utilizing dxFeed market-data solutions.

• Diagnose and resolve challenges in high-volume financial systems and market-data distribution.

• Engage with clients by offering technical advice, recommendations, and integration assistance.

• Keep precise records of customer interactions, incidents, and resolutions.

• Determine the root causes of technical issues and suggest long-term remedies.

• Take part in discussions on system architecture, documentation, procedures, and system-level testing plans.

• Support the launch of new products and services.

• Monitor the health, performance, and behavior of software systems.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, technical writers, sales, legal, and finance teams.

• Interact with external market-data suppliers, exchanges, brokers, and trading firms.

• Provide training and share knowledge with users and team members.

• Keep abreast of technologies and trends in the FinTech and market data sectors.

• Adhere to security, quality, and compliance standards.

• Work collaboratively within the three-tiered Technical Support team and contribute to technical and professional development.

• Experience working with clients worldwide.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attentiveness and promptness in responding to incoming information, including tickets, monitoring, calls, notifications, and chats.

• Ability to identify issues and seek resolutions.

• Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment with frequently changing contexts (stress resilience).

• Proficiency in console skills, including checking component configurations.

• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix fundamentals, including bash, configuration in etc/, and logs in log/.

• Foundational understanding of Java, Python, and/or C/C++.

• Basic comprehension of networking and infrastructure concepts, including IP and TCP.

• Fundamental knowledge of Computer Science, Cloud technologies, SaaS, IaaS, and scalable solutions.

• Preferred: Familiarity with the development process from client request to production deployment.

• Preferred: Knowledge of the roles of various systems within the development lifecycle.

• Preferred: Experience with production platforms and systems.

• Preferred: Ongoing work experience in large organizations.

• Preferred: Ability to propose enhancements to improve team operations.
