Field Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Provide primarily post-sale assistance to customers.

• Supervise the installation, adoption, and optimization of Cepheid GeneXpert systems in clinical laboratories throughout the region.

• Collaborate with regional clients to maximize system uptime, promote adoption, and enhance the commercial value of GeneXpert systems and assays.

• Conduct site assessments prior to installation.

• Install instruments and set up software and connectivity.

• Offer continuous customer support during evaluation phases, following product launch, and throughout assay conversion.

• Provide training on assays and implement updates for hardware, software, and connectivity.

• Monitor sites and educate customers on system operation, software usage, reagents, and connectivity.

• Execute reactive repairs, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, deinstallations, and relocations.

• Address customer concerns and liaise with other departments on administrative and technical issues.

• Manage spare parts, ensuring appropriate stock levels and inventory management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Diploma and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Biology.

• A Bachelor’s Degree with experience in the Diagnostic industry is a plus.

• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare/biomedical, handling Medical Devices, or working with laboratory customers in the region.

• Familiarity with the diagnostic market.

• Proficiency in the local language of the region.

• Strong command of the English language.

• Knowledge of Portuguese is considered advantageous.

• Willingness to travel, spending approximately 80% of time in the field.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Capability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 27 kg.

• Experience in technical support and training related to reagent and instrumentation for Clinical Diagnostics is a plus.

• Familiarity with the customer base within the territory is an advantage.
