ETL/BI Application Engineer – Informatica, Cognos

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, update, optimize, monitor, and troubleshoot Informatica and Cognos applications within extensive MMIS operating environments.

• Collaborate with various teams to achieve deliverables.

• Address tickets and inquiries in a timely manner.

• Provide prompt communication regarding actions, status updates, and meeting schedules.

• Carry out company administrative tasks, including mandatory training, time management, performance goals, and adherence to policies, processes, and procedures.

• Be available outside of regular business hours to implement projects or system modifications as necessary.

• Install and maintain Cognos and Informatica throughout the operational lifecycle for multiple clients.

• Enhance performance and apply updates and vulnerability fixes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated discipline and integrity to work with US-based teams and communicate effectively.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with Cognos v11 & v12 and Informatica Power Center v10.x, IDMC, and CDI-PC on Linux.

• Proficient in configuring authentication methods such as LDAP, Active Directory, and SSO.

• Experience managing Cognos servers, gateways, dispatchers, and content store databases.

• Skilled in deploying and migrating Cognos reports and Informatica code across various environments.

• Capable of troubleshooting report failures and server-related issues.

• Experienced in resolving production issues and coordinating with development teams.

• Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs.

• Manage backups, recovery, and environment migrations (DEV, QA, PROD).

• Implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.

• Create and edit published system documentation.

• Willingness to perform assigned tasks and adopt additional technologies as necessary.

• Hands-on experience with Forgerock, Business Objects v4.3 in a clustered configuration, or Tableau is a plus.
