ETL/BI Application Engineer – Informatica, Cognos

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, update, optimize, monitor, and troubleshoot Informatica and Cognos applications within extensive MMIS operating environments.

• Collaborate with various teams on project deliverables.

• Address tickets and inquiries within the designated timeframe.

• Provide timely updates on actions, statuses, and meeting schedules.

• Execute company administrative duties, including mandatory training, timekeeping, goal/performance assessments, and adherence to policies, processes, and procedures.

• Work outside regular business hours to implement projects or system modifications when necessary.

• Install and maintain Cognos and Informatica throughout the operational lifecycle for multiple clients.

• Enhance performance and apply updates and vulnerability fixes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong discipline and integrity to collaborate with US-based teams and communicate effectively.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with Cognos v11 and v12, as well as Informatica Power Center v10.x, IDMC, and CDI-PC on Linux.

• Proficient in configuring authentication methods such as LDAP, Active Directory, and SSO.

• Experience in managing Cognos servers, gateways, dispatchers, and content store databases.

• Skilled in deploying and migrating Cognos reports and Informatica code across different environments.

• Expertise in troubleshooting report failures and server-related issues.

• Experience in resolving production issues and coordinating efforts with development teams.

• Knowledgeable in performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs.

• Competent in managing backups, recovery, and migration processes between DEV, QA, and PROD environments.

• Familiarity with implementing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.

• Ability to create and edit published system documentation.

• Willingness to perform assigned responsibilities and embrace additional technologies as required.

• Practical experience with Forgerock, Business Objects v4.3 in a clustered configuration, or Tableau is advantageous.

• Open to working outside of regular business hours to facilitate project implementations or system changes.
