Field Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Provide primarily post-sales customer support

• Oversee the complete installation and implementation of GeneXpert systems, which includes conducting site assessments, setting up connectivity, and offering support post-launch

• Conduct customer training sessions and provide ongoing technical assistance regarding instruments, software applications, assays, reagents, and connectivity solutions

• Offer field service and technical support through troubleshooting, corrective repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment relocations, and system upgrades

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers concerning technical and administrative inquiries

• Collaborate with internal teams to address customer issues promptly and effectively

• Manage spare parts and field inventory

• Provide support to customers throughout the French territory while working remotely from Paris/Île-de-France

⛳️ Requirements

• Diploma and/or Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Engineering, Biology, or a related field

• 2–3 years of experience in healthcare, biomedical engineering, medical devices, or laboratory settings

• Prior experience working with laboratory customers

• Familiarity with the diagnostics market

• Proficiency in French

• Strong command of English

• Willingness to travel extensively, spending approximately 80% of working time in the field

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

• Capability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 27 kg

• Experience in the diagnostics industry is a plus

• Background in technical support and customer training is advantageous

• Familiarity with reagents and instrumentation used in Clinical Diagnostics is beneficial

• Experience supporting customers within the designated territory is a bonus

• Knowledge of molecular diagnostics and laboratory workflows is a plus
