Field Adjuster – Southeast Florida

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver professional and responsive customer service to policyholders.

• Evaluate and adjust first-party claims within designated authority limits.

• Investigate policy coverage forms for claim resolution or denial.

• Carry out fundamental claim investigations at both desk and field levels, focusing on coverage, cause, and damages.

• Reach out to policyholders to arrange inspections of damaged properties.

• Travel to impacted properties to perform timely inspections.

• Examine, photograph, sketch, and assess both damaged and undamaged sections of insured properties.

• Assess and determine the total value of claims.

• Utilize various software applications to establish loss parameters.

• Set claim reserves in accordance with established guidelines.

• Deliver both verbal and written customer service.

• Record claim activities and identify potential subrogation issues.

• Engage in training sessions and claim roundtable discussions.

• Draft basic claim correspondence, including reservation-of-rights and denial letters.

• Support catastrophe operations, which may involve extra hours or deployment to affected regions.

• Assist with special projects or tasks as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Some college education is preferred.

• At least 2 years of field experience with an insurance provider.

• Proficient in the use of Xactimate software.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Basic proficiency in computer skills.

• Capability to read and understand instructions and correspondence.

• Must maintain all required licenses.
