
Feed Sales Representative – Cattle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assist in expanding and managing the livestock and lifestyle product portfolio
• Generate product demand and cultivate relationships with dealers and cooperatives
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Conduct up to 25 visits to farms or facilities each week to evaluate feeding programs and propose Purina-supported solutions
• Connect within the livestock and lifestyle animal sectors to exchange best practices and create new business prospects
• Present innovative feed products and programs to both new and existing clients
• Manage and enhance an established book of business from the outset
• Foster and sustain relationships with dealer and cooperative teams as well as Purina specialists
• Build expertise in Purina's research, innovation, and sustainability initiatives
• Organize and conduct educational events and on-site demonstrations
• Work independently in a flexible, remote environment while overseeing territory, schedule, and customer relations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and implement product strategy, marketing initiatives, product launches, and field events
• Take part in team meetings and sales training sessions
• Apply sales strategies and partner with colleagues for ongoing improvement
• Utilize CRM systems like Salesforce and tools such as Power BI to document activities and guide business decisions
• Conduct multiple sales calls daily to customers and potential clients
• Participate in on-farm animal assessments and engage with producers
• A bachelor's degree in Animal Science or a related field is highly preferred
• Candidates nearing completion of their bachelor's degree or those with demonstrated sales and industry experience may be considered
• 0-3 years of relevant experience
• A strong passion for livestock care and agricultural products
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in teams
• Experience in customer service or sales support
• Willingness to travel 5-10% overnight and commute daily within the assigned region
• Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and navigate a matrix-reporting framework
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management
• Ability to build relationships and demonstrate leadership in team settings
• Proficiency in making multiple sales calls daily to customers and prospects
• Capability to engage in on-farm interactions, including animal evaluations, under various weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds
• Competence in delivering effective public speaking presentations
