This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.
• Collaborate with Purina dealers or cooperatives to pinpoint growth opportunities within current customer accounts.
• Launch new products, broaden species offerings, re-engage dormant customers, and facilitate customer engagement initiatives.
• Identify, research, and connect with potential customers within targeted species segments.
• Construct qualified sales pipelines and assist in new business development efforts.
• Analyze customer purchasing patterns and formulate recommendations to enhance the adoption of Purina nutrition solutions.
• Assess local markets, customer trends, and competitive activities to uncover territory growth opportunities.
• Create recommendations and insights for sales teams, dealers, and cooperatives.
• Engage in farm visits, customer meetings, educational events, feed trials, and producer programs.
• Dedicate the majority of time to sales activities while executing structured business-growth projects.
• Collaborate with local sales representatives, dealer/co-op leaders, and Purina team members.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field.
• Junior status is preferred.
• Proven leadership involvement in school, academic, and industry-related clubs.
• Capacity to lift 50 lbs. and work in farm settings.
• Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Must be able to reside within commuting distance of the assigned dealer/co-op location.
• Familiarity with animal husbandry, nutrition, and feed management practices is preferred.
• Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Strong communication, writing, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and execute projects independently.
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to receive feedback and learn.
• Adaptability to evolving business environments and customer requirements.
