Federal Security Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Promote technical leadership to clients and partners.

• Deliver architectural design services for advanced SD-WAN implementations.

• Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.

• Conduct hands-on testing to verify customer proof-of-concept configurations, network designs, and deployments utilizing new products and features.

• Provide Professional Services on a project basis to key customers.

• Write whitepapers, knowledge base articles, and other materials intended for customers and partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.

• Proven experience in planning, designing, or managing service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack and its operations.

• Familiarity with WAN technologies and protocols such as MPLS, MPLS-based VPNs, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, and Multicast.

• Expertise in architecting and/or overseeing large-scale, high-performance, and resilient enterprise networking solutions.

• Proficient in Linux administration.

• Knowledge of shell scripting and Python scripting.

• Willingness to travel to support customers on-site.

• Practical knowledge of next-generation firewalls/UTMs, IDS/IPS, and malware prevention systems.

• Understanding of best-practice architectures for SaaS applications.

• Hands-on experience with public and private cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, OpenStack, and VMware.

• Strong analytical thinking skills.

• Ability to approach problem-solving from a full-stack perspective.

• Quick aptitude for learning new technologies.

• Excellent practical skills in deploying and troubleshooting complex networks.

• Eagerness to assist customers, colleagues, and other team members whenever needed.
