This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Conduct thorough medical histories, virtual assessments, and clinical evaluations for individuals with obesity and metabolic disorders.
• Create personalized weight-management treatment strategies that incorporate nutrition counseling, activity suggestions, behavioral modifications, pharmacotherapy, and referrals as needed.
• Provide continuous virtual care, routine check-ups, and chronic disease management focused on obesity and metabolic wellness.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests essential for obesity treatment and metabolic oversight.
• Ensure documentation is completed promptly, accurately, and in a clinically appropriate manner.
• Adhere to virtual care guidelines, clinical procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Offer supportive counseling, motivation, education, and collaborative decision-making.
• Deliver compassionate, culturally aware care to a diverse adult demographic.
• Engage in quality enhancement, service excellence, and outcome-oriented program development.
• Meet access and productivity benchmarks to ensure timely availability of virtual care.
• Implement standardized evidence-based protocols for obesity management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including dietitians, behavioral health specialists, pharmacists, and care coordinators.
• Attend program meetings, case discussions, and ongoing clinical improvement initiatives.
• Assess patient outcomes and integrate current scientific research to enhance practice.
• Communicate with patients, families, and care team members via virtual platforms.
• Utilize health system resources to facilitate coordinated virtual obesity care.
• Licensed physician in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• A minimum of three to five years of relevant experience.
• Board certification in either family medicine or internal medicine is required.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obesity/Weight Management is mandatory.
• Maintenance of Certification must be upheld according to applicable board standards.
• Experience with virtual care is preferred.
• Proficiency in obesity pharmacotherapy is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge and skills to deliver age-appropriate care for adults aged 18 years and older.
