Facilities Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take on the role of Maintenance Supervisor during any vacancy that arises.

• Serve as the interim Maintenance Supervisor or Technician at various properties, including being on-call during weekends.

• Collaborate with Regional Directors – Facilities to ensure the preservation and maintenance of assigned assets.

• Perform annual assessments of properties.

• Guarantee that life safety system inspections and preventative maintenance schedules are conducted.

• Aid in weekly inspections of units and properties, along with their documentation.

• Support site managers in planning and executing annual turnover.

• Ensure adherence to Landmark Policies and Procedures as well as OSHA guidelines for maintenance operations.

• Create efficient maintenance processes to maintain asset value and deliver outstanding customer service.

• Assist the Community Manager with the operational budget for facilities and make necessary purchases.

• Assess the maintenance shop inventory and account for tools and supplies.

• Collaborate with vendors to gather bids for site projects.

• Review the performance of maintenance site staff.

• Train maintenance team members on standard operating procedures.

• Help in the recruitment process for vacant maintenance positions at properties.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance is required, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.

• EPA Universal Certification is a must.

• CPO Certification is required.

• Supervisory experience is preferred.

• Experience in student housing turnover is preferred.

• Familiarity with Entrata is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities are necessary.

• Effective communication skills are required.

• Ability to effectively manage one's own time is crucial.

• Must be able to perform necessary physical activities, including standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using hands.

• Willingness to travel up to 90%, which may include intrastate and interstate driving as well as possible air travel.
