Expert Witness Research Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Perform research on Testimonial History and Party History utilizing court records, internal and external resources, as well as legal research tools.

• Oversee the entire life cycle of Expert Witness Search requests.

• Deliver clear, concise, accurate, timely, and comprehensive information to clients.

• Implement established standards within the order management process.

• Gather customer feedback and assist in resolving issues effectively.

• Accurately complete Testimonial History and Party History search orders while adhering to turnaround targets.

• Cross-train and assist with other research queues, such as JV, ID’ing, ECR, and Request Entry.

• Utilize AI-enabled tools in legal research workflows and exercise professional judgment to verify results for accuracy, relevance, and completeness.

• Collaborate with the team to achieve quality and turnaround goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD), paralegal certification, or equivalent education or experience that demonstrates significant legal research skills.

• Familiarity with the US court system and legal terminology.

• Strong research, critical thinking, and written communication abilities.

• Availability to work 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.

• Capacity to provide excellent customer service and resolve issues during the initial interaction when feasible.

• Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, internet research, and basic PC troubleshooting.

• Skilled in using AI-enabled tools for legal research, including the ability to choose suitable tools and critically assess AI-generated outcomes.

• Capability to exercise business judgment related to customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS).

• Experience with Lexis Advance, Lexis+, or similar legal research platforms is a plus.

• Willingness and ability to learn new products, such as Party History Search.

• Completion of mandatory training within the first three months.
