Experienced Auditor – US Government, Single Audit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Assist a US client engagement that involves US Government and compliance audits, including Single Audits and Yellow Book (GAGAS).

• As a Senior, deliver timely, high-quality outputs covering intricate sections.

• Facilitate fieldwork and synchronize deliverables from various team members.

• Implement audit methodology, relevant standards, and systems knowledge.

• Mentor associates and interns while monitoring productivity and work-plan timelines.

• Address client inquiries, escalate concerns, and ensure efficient information flow.

• As SIC, supervise fieldwork and coordinate team deliverables.

• Educate and guide team members, leading them through engagements.

• Prepare financial statements, related disclosures, and reportable conditions letters.

• Track productivity, budgets, quality, and compliance with work-plan schedules.

• As Manager, plan, budget, and oversee client deliverables.

• Review and assess team work for quality and skill enhancement.

• Manage larger, more intricate engagement teams while promoting client satisfaction and team morale.

• Communicate effectively with all levels within the firm and the client.

⛳️ Requirements

• ITC/Board 1 Pass (non-negotiable) for Senior and SIC roles.

• Fully Qualified ACA / ACCA / CPA for Senior and SIC roles.

• Fully Qualified CA(SA) / CA(Z) / ACA / ACCA / CPA for Manager role.

• Minimum of 4 years of Public Accounting audit experience for Senior role.

• At least 5 years of Public Accounting audit experience for SIC role.

• A minimum of 6 years of Public Accounting audit experience for Manager role.

• 2+ years of experience in leading teams and managing audits for SIC and Manager roles.

• Proven history of reviewing and approving work papers for SIC level.

• Familiarity with Single Audits and US government audits.

• Understanding of US GAAP.

• Experience with CCH is essential.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proactive, dedicated, and driven by deadlines.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Access to a stable internet connection, with a minimum fiber connection of 50 Mbps for both upload and download speeds and latency not exceeding 30 ms.

• Audit experience and alignment to a specific level based on individual audit exposure, technical interview, and evaluation.
