Exercise Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, development, execution, and assessment of various exercises.

• Offer administrative and coordination support for exercise planning meetings, which includes scheduling, logistics, and documenting action minutes.

• Develop and manage exercise documentation packages, encompassing invitations, sign-in sheets, meeting notes, and other administrative documents.

• Aid in participant registration and tracking utilizing program technical tools.

• Gather and organize findings, recommendations, and lessons learned for post-exercise deliverables.

• Contribute to program operations by maintaining an exercise calendar, organizing content on CISA.gov and other platforms, and facilitating all-hands coordination.

• Assist in the creation of exercise scenarios, discussion questions, injects, goals and objectives, conduct materials, and evaluation materials.

• Regularly participate in meetings with Senior Exercise Planners and Regional Exercise Leads to ensure timely production of materials and execution of exercises.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have the ability to obtain CISA EOD.

• 1 to 2 years of experience in developing, conducting, and evaluating HSEEP exercises.

• Capability to complete HSEEP certification.

• Proven experience in writing exercise planning, conduct, and evaluation materials.

• Experience in providing administrative and documentation support in a fast-paced operations environment, including managing meeting logistics, calendars, correspondence, and tracking deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail for editing and formatting to ensure products meet style expectations and are free of grammatical errors.

• Ability to work during Eastern time zone hours.

• Must be able to be on camera during Microsoft Teams meetings when required.

• Preferred: TS/SCI security clearance.

• Preferred: FEMA Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) Certification.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting data collection and basic analysis activities.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting dashboards or visual tools for operations and key performance indicators.

• Preferred: Experience with cybersecurity exercises.

• Preferred: Cybersecurity certifications, including Security+ and ISC2.
