This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Conduct thorough health evaluations of patients in cardiac rehabilitation, focusing on physical fitness, medical history, lifestyle choices, and psychological health.
• Track patient development and modify rehabilitation strategies based on exercise tolerance, heart rate, and blood pressure readings.
• Create and implement exercise programs tailored for specific populations, primarily older adults experiencing cardiovascular challenges, using telehealth/video conferencing tools.
• Execute exercise plans in accordance with current professional guidelines and organizational protocols.
• Assess patient adherence and responses to prescribed exercise regimens.
• Facilitate group exercise sessions and collaborate with the clinical operations team and medical director to refresh group programming.
• Accurately document patient information in a timely and concise manner.
• Offer motivation, emotional encouragement, and cognitive-behavioral coaching to patients.
• Recognize and address obstacles that hinder rehabilitation progress and participation in group education.
• Educate patients about cardiovascular health, nutrition, stress management, quitting smoking, dietary adjustments, and medication compliance.
• Encourage consistent program attendance and assist in enrolling patients in group education sessions.
• Work in partnership with cardiologists, nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide ongoing updates regarding patient progress to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate records and document data for program outcomes, patient objectives, and adherence tracking.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related discipline.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• ACSM or AACVPR certification is mandatory: CCRP, EP-C, CEP, or RCEP.
• Prior experience in a clinical or rehabilitation environment, preferably with cardiac patients.
• Experience in leading group classes or serving as a Group Fitness Instructor.
• Understanding of cardiovascular disease management, exercise prescription, and behavioral change strategies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to convey complex medical information effectively.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Availability for shifts from Monday to Friday, either 8am-3pm ET or 1pm-6pm ET.
• Classification as a 1099 contractor.
• Fully remote work structure.
