
Executive Neuroscience Sales Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Promote Acadia products to healthcare professionals both in-person and virtually, delivering compliant clinical, disease-state, and reimbursement information.
• Develop and implement territory business plans to achieve or surpass sales targets.
• Utilize market data, customer insights, and quarterly action plans to inform strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), key opinion leaders, advocacy organizations, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and objections using advanced dialogue and sales techniques.
• Customize approved sales aids, clinical reprints, and brand resources to meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with managed markets, operations, sales training, marketing, and other internal teams.
• Provide insight on pricing, reimbursement, and specialty distribution channels.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and Acadia on access-related matters.
• Monitor and report on sales activities, expenses, and customer interactions.
• Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, training sessions, and meetings.
• Mentor and train new sales specialists.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and provide strategic insights from the field.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in life sciences is preferred.
• Sales Specialist: Minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare; neuroscience experience is preferred.
• Senior Specialist: At least 5 years of healthcare sales experience, including 2+ years in complex/account-based selling.
• Executive Specialist: A minimum of 12 years of healthcare sales experience, with at least 3+ years in complex/account-based selling.
• Proven advanced selling skills, leadership capabilities, and business acumen.
• Demonstrated success in influencing diverse HCP audiences across various care settings.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and consistently achieve high results.
• Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its border.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Willingness to meet significant travel requirements, including driving, overnight stays, and air travel.
• Must comply with vaccination protocols for HCP office access, long-term care facilities, and medical conferences.
• In-depth understanding of neuroscience disease states, Acadia products, and local/regional market conditions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual engagement platforms such as Zoom and WebEx.
• Strong understanding of payer dynamics, including Part D and specialty pharmacy/hub distribution.
