
Executive Neuroscience Sales Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Meet sales objectives within the designated territory by fostering customer relationships, providing compliant product education, and facilitating suitable patient access.
• Advocate for Acadia products to healthcare professionals through both in-person and virtual channels.
• Supply clinical, disease-state, and reimbursement information in a compliant, customer-centric manner.
• Create and implement territory business plans utilizing market data, customer insights, and quarterly action objectives.
• Build connections with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, advocacy organizations, and various healthcare stakeholders.
• Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and objections through advanced dialogue and selling techniques.
• Customize approved sales tools, clinical reprints, and brand resources to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with managed markets, operations, sales training, marketing, and other internal teams.
• Offer guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and specialty distribution channels.
• Monitor and report on sales activities, expenses, and customer interactions.
• Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibitions, training sessions, and national, regional, and local meetings.
• Mentor and train new sales specialists.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and provide field strategic insights.
• Travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as necessary; travel may be up to 80%.
• A bachelor's degree is required; a focus in life sciences is preferred.
• Executive-level candidates must have a minimum of 12 years of healthcare sales experience, including at least 3 years in complex or account-based selling environments.
• Demonstrated advanced selling skills, leadership qualities, and business acumen are essential.
• Proven track record of influencing diverse healthcare professional audiences across various care settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, adapt to change, and consistently deliver high performance.
• Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its border.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Capable of meeting substantial travel requirements, including driving, overnight stays, and air travel as necessary.
• Must adhere to vaccination requirements for access to healthcare provider offices, long-term care facilities, and medical conferences.
• In-depth knowledge of neuroscience disease states, Acadia products, and local/regional market dynamics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual engagement tools such as Zoom and WebEx.
• Strong understanding of payer dynamics, including Part D and specialty pharmacy/hub distribution.
• Eligibility to operate a company vehicle and the ability to travel independently by air.
• Depending on territory needs, must reside within reasonable proximity to a major airport.
