Executive Director of Advocacy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design and execute advocacy initiatives in critical markets, particularly focusing on Medicaid programs.

• Collaborate with local leadership to embed advocacy priorities within the overall business strategy and goals.

• Monitor and report on legislation and regulations that influence access to care.

• Establish and maintain relationships with legislators, regulators, payors, and industry partners.

• Represent LEARN at various forums, conferences, and events.

• Keep executive management updated on developments that impact the organization.

• Collaborate with Payor Relations and RCM teams on reimbursement-related matters.

• Act as a liaison with key industry groups.

• Drive LEARN's advocacy initiatives aimed at enhancing access to care for individuals with autism.

• Work alongside executive management, local leadership, external lobbyists, regional leaders, and national and regional industry associations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• At least 10 years of pertinent experience in advocacy, government relations, public policy, or a closely related domain.

• Preference for candidates with direct experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

• Capability to convert complex policy matters into implementable advocacy strategies.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in engaging and collaborating effectively with clinicians, legislators, payors, and a range of diverse stakeholders.

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines simultaneously.

• Willingness to travel to represent LEARN in essential markets and forums.

• Candidates must currently be eligible to work in the United States.

• Proficient in both verbal and written communication.

• Capability to identify potential issues or challenges proactively.
