Executive Director of Advocacy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Create and execute advocacy initiatives in crucial markets in collaboration with internal stakeholders, with a specific emphasis on Medicaid programs.

• Collaborate with local leadership to weave advocacy priorities into the wider business strategy and goals.

• Monitor and report on legislation and regulations that influence access to care.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with legislators, regulators, payors, and industry partners.

• Represent LEARN at pertinent forums, conferences, and events, serving as a credible and visible voice for the field.

• Keep executive management updated on developments that may affect the organization.

• Work alongside Payor Relations and RCM teams on reimbursement-related matters.

• Act as a liaison with key industry groups.

• Spearhead company initiatives to enhance access to care for autistic individuals in collaboration with executive management, local leadership, and third-party lobbyists.

• Serve as LEARN's main liaison with national and regional industry associations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• At least 10 years of pertinent experience in advocacy, government relations, public policy, or a closely related domain.

• Direct experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA) is preferred.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

• Capability to translate complex policy matters into actionable advocacy strategies.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clinicians, legislators, and payors.

• Experience working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Willingness to travel to represent LEARN in key markets and forums.

• Currently eligible to work in the United States.

• Ability to communicate effectively and receptively, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to identify when something is amiss or likely to become problematic.
