Executive Director – National Head of Account Management

📋 Description

• Execute field strategy and implementation for the commercial introduction of allogeneic cell therapy Tabelecleucel (tab-cel)

• Meet national sales objectives and oversee the performance of the account team

• Create a strategy for treatment site activation and a model for customer engagement

• Lead and cultivate the cell therapy account team to ensure effective support for patient treatment

• Collaborate with the CCO, Head of Value and Access, and other cross-functional leaders

• Inspire, engage, develop, and guide a national team of Cell Therapy Account Directors

• Formulate and implement key account plans and national account strategies throughout the US

• Analyze the commercial landscape to identify barriers and opportunities, executing tailored strategies

• Partner with US Value and Access to enhance patient access and stakeholder experience

• Monitor leading performance indicators to inform sales targets and forecasts

• Lead, coach, develop, and inspire the national account team

• Evaluate individual and team performance both remotely and in the field, creating action plans to enhance effectiveness

• Establish and implement individual and team development plans

• Create a motivational incentive compensation program

• Engage with external experts in hematology, transplantation, therapeutic guideline committees, hospital/transplant administration, and medical societies

• Implement processes for cellular therapy adoption at treatment sites, including P&T, SOPs, contracting, and cell therapy lab requirements

• Address customer and patient needs promptly and resolve issues effectively

• Represent Pierre Fabre Pharma to industry stakeholders

• Ensure compliance of account activities with regulations and company policies

• Prepare and deliver reports on account performance, market trends, customer insights, and strategic initiatives to senior management

• Perform additional responsibilities as dictated by evolving business needs


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field

• Experience in cell or gene therapies

• At least 10 years of leadership experience in related Pharmaceutical or Biotech organizations required

• Experience in launching high-priced products for patients with rare or ultra-rare diseases

• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing commercial teams and establishing foundational operational structures

• Demonstrated ability to consistently guide teams to ethically and compliantly achieve or surpass sales targets

• Proven capability to foster a high engagement/high agility team culture

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills

• Strong collaboration abilities and effectiveness working with cross-functional colleagues at all professional levels

• Knowledge of government and industry guidelines, regulations, laws, and requirements for appropriate scientific/medical exchange and communication with customers

• Familiarity with relevant pharmaceutical industry regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies

• High emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and humility

• Self-starter comfortable operating in a start-up environment with diverse responsibilities

• Willingness to travel up to 50%, with occasional global travel

• Advanced degree in a healthcare-related field preferred

• Experience in solid organ or stem cell transplantation is a plus

• Deep understanding of commercial topics including marketing, marketing operations, sales analytics, sales leadership, sales strategy, account management, value/cost of care discussions, hospitalizations, drug pricing pressures, and reimbursement education
