This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the School Leader and the leadership team, including managing calendars, handling correspondence, and coordinating meetings.
• Prepare agendas, materials, and minutes for meetings involving leadership, the board, and staff.
• Oversee the scheduling of appointments, events, and various school activities.
• Screen and reply to phone calls and email inquiries on behalf of the leadership team.
• Assist with daily tasks as they emerge.
• Enter and maintain student data in PowerSchool and other relevant school and state information systems, including registrations, course enrollments, and records management.
• Ensure accurate and audit-ready data across all systems.
• Generate reports for school leadership, the Charter Institute at Erskine, and the South Carolina Department of Education.
• Assist with state and district data reporting as well as preparations for state testing.
• Maintain familiarity with Federal regulations and South Carolina-specific laws regarding enrollment, student privacy, and record-keeping.
• Follow up with local school districts concerning transcript requests, interpretations, and student records.
• Support compliance with accountability standards set for South Carolina charter schools.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in communications with families and staff.
• Must be a resident of South Carolina.
• Experience with PowerSchool is mandatory; familiarity with an equivalent student information system is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in management, supervision, or administrative leadership is required.
• An Associate's degree or higher is preferred, or an equivalent combination of administrative and management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, Google Suite, and various web-based applications.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills are necessary.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
• Must demonstrate the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, deadline-oriented virtual school environment.
• Proven capability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
• High level of flexibility and ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Willing to travel within South Carolina for school events, meetings, and state testing as required.
• Must be able to utilize a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication.
