Excel Expert, Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead research teams in addressing knowledge gaps and enhancing AI model efficacy for Excel-related tasks in the finance sector.

• Create practical, industry-relevant Excel assignments based on your professional background, and produce precise, well-organized solutions.

• Assess Excel tasks and their corresponding solutions, providing concise, written evaluations.

• Work collaboratively with other subject matter experts to maintain consistency and accuracy in the training data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven advanced, professional-level proficiency in Excel, encompassing advanced formulas (such as XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, dynamic arrays), PivotTables, financial modeling, dashboards, Power Query, Power Pivot, and macros/VBA.

• Practical professional experience utilizing Excel in the finance domain — including private equity, investment banking, hedge funds, or equity research (accounting/FP&A also acceptable) — with work involving three-statement models, LBO/DCF and valuation, and forecasting.

• Clear career advancement within your area of expertise.

• Previous involvement in AI training, human data annotation, or model assessment — preferably with Rubrics training on Mercor or a similar platform — is highly advantageous.

• Availability to commit reliably for 40 hours per week during weekdays through the end of September, transitioning to 20 hours per week thereafter.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills.

• Candidates must be based in the United States only.
