This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the complete operational execution of events in the US, managing timelines, run-of-show, budgets, vendors, venues, catering, AV, signage, promotional items, and shipping.
• Act as the primary event owner on-site and address any operational challenges that arise.
• Ensure that Tessl events are well-thought-out and maintain consistency.
• Assist US developer community chapter leaders with venue selection, event formats, logistics, promotional items, and marketing efforts.
• Attend key community events to represent Tessl.
• Develop reusable resources to empower local chapters towards greater self-sufficiency.
• Manage Tessl's presence at external conferences and developer events.
• Collaborate with Sales and Partnerships to support commercial B2B activations, including booths, sponsorships, side events, dinners, and co-hosted events.
• Define responsibilities and timelines for co-hosted events.
• Assist with larger initiatives, such as US roadshows, alongside senior team members.
• Work together with Marketing, Community, and Sales to create event promotion strategies and supporting materials.
• Track registrations, identify underperformance, and pinpoint relevant local communities and companies.
• Maintain a centralized source of information for each event.
• Highlight risks and obstacles early, along with suggested solutions.
• Collaborate across time zones with Marketing and Community teams based in the UK.
• Contribute to Tessl's growth objectives, sales prospects, community development, and visibility among US developers and technical leaders.
• Several years of experience in managing events, field marketing, or community events from the planning phase through to live execution.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a keen attention to detail while handling multiple events simultaneously.
• Proactive in communication.
• Good judgment and the confidence to make independent, sensible decisions.
• Experience managing external vendors, event venues, and event partners.
• Comfortable engaging in discussions with senior stakeholders and managing hands-on event logistics.
• Adaptable in a fast-paced company and experienced in working with a distributed international team.
• Experience with events in the developer, technology, or startup communities is a plus.
• Background in supporting community chapters, ambassador programs, or meetup organizers is a plus.
• Experience in community-focused and commercial B2B/field events is a plus.
• Familiarity with the technology and developer landscape in New York is a plus.
• Experience in promoting events through community channels, email, social media, or local outreach is a plus.
• Must reside in New York.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the US.
