Company Analysis Expert – Event Propagation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct mapping of suppliers, customers, competitors, distributors, substitutes, and geographic exposure utilizing EDGAR filings, footnotes, exhibits, transcripts, and industry data.

• Proactively identify relevant companies prior to an event and differentiate between direct exposure and weak thematic correlation.

• Assess direction, magnitude, horizon, and confidence, while specifying the revenue, margin, earnings, or valuation mechanism associated with each.

• Evaluate model-generated analyses and benchmark them against your own standards.

• Generate expert-authored forecasting and research data that are instrumental in assessing and enhancing AI models based on actual financial analysis.

• Analyze from a fixed evidence cutoff without hindsight and document the judgment a proficient analyst would have made at that specific time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A seasoned sector portfolio manager, lead equity analyst, or event-driven investor with extensive knowledge of a particular industry.

• Practical experience in mapping a company's economic network through primary filings, not relying on screens or third-party tags.

• Typically requires 8+ years of direct experience, or demonstrably strong evidence of equivalent performance.

• Familiarity with EDGAR filings, footnotes, exhibits, transcripts, and industry data.

• Capacity to identify related companies prior to an event and differentiate direct exposure from weak thematic correlation.

• Proficiency in estimating direction, magnitude, horizon, and confidence, alongside identifying the revenue, margin, earnings, or valuation mechanism.

• Ability to assess model-generated analyses and evaluate them against personal standards.

• Adherence to point-in-time discipline: reason from the stated cutoff without hindsight, data leakage, confidential information, or material non-public information.

• Qualification is determined by direct experience and performance on the work sample; brand-name experience is not a strict requirement.
