
ETF Specialist, RIA & Intermediary Distribution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a primary ETF resource for the Virtus distribution team.
• Collaborate with internal sales teams to enhance ETF adoption and increase market share within RIA, Independent Broker-Dealer, and Private Client sectors.
• Provide nationwide coverage across the United States, with potential adjustments to regional territories in the future.
• Work alongside Virtus wholesalers and distribution leaders to boost ETF asset growth, expand market share, and increase net sales.
• Assist field sales teams by crafting targeted business strategies and identifying channel opportunities.
• Navigate large RIA aggregator platforms, understanding organizational hierarchies, key decision-makers, and advisor network dynamics.
• Directly engage with the independent RIA channel and cultivate relationships with financial advisors.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of Virtus equity, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternative ETF offerings.
• Provide ETF education and guidance on portfolio construction.
• Conduct individual meetings, group presentations, webinars, and advisor training both virtually and in person.
• Collaborate with advisors, model managers, and professional ETF buyers on portfolio opportunities.
• Act as a resource for ETF inquiries, competitive positioning, capital markets insights, and implementation questions.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Capital Markets, Investment Management, and Distribution teams.
• Collect and convey marketplace feedback regarding client needs, product gaps, competitive trends, and potential products.
• Maintain an active travel schedule for advisor meetings, conferences, due diligence events, and national sales initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Five to eight years of experience in investment management, ETF distribution, ETF product strategy, ETF capital markets, intermediary sales, or asset management.
• Proven experience in covering the RIA channel and directly engaging with financial advisors.
• Preferred experience in roles such as hybrid wholesaler, ETF specialist, ETF strategist, internal wholesaler, or intermediary distribution.
• Strong knowledge of ETFs, portfolio construction, investment strategies, and capital markets.
• Experience in supporting equity, fixed income, and multi-asset investment strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a territory through consultative relationship management and business development.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and client engagement skills.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to discuss investment research, portfolio characteristics, and performance attribution.
• Collaborative mindset across Distribution, Product, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Investment teams.
• FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses are required.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
• MBA, CFA, CAIA, CIMA, or CFP designation is preferred.
