This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Analyze and interpret RFP documents, project plans, specifications, and additional documentation to create detailed cost estimates.

• Generate precise quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials.

• Determine and quantify equipment and OEM needs.

• Adhere to and manage bidding schedules.

• Engage in estimate reviews.

• Collaborate with subcontractors to outline and secure costs for minor scopes of work.

• Foster vendor relationships and remain updated on equipment models and manual changes that impact pricing.

• Recognize project risks.

• Aid in the preparation of risk matrices and assist management with go/no-go decisions.

• Verify new equipment labor metrics with subject matter experts.

• Keep estimate templates updated.

• Maintain and enhance cost databases and estimating software or Excel estimating templates.

• Create and uphold an estimate version management process.

• Oversee multiple pricing initiatives while meeting deadlines.

• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Proficient understanding of utility-scale solar and BESS standard equipment and operations.

• A minimum of 3 years of estimating experience.

• Experience in electrical and/or utility-scale solar or BESS operations and maintenance is advantageous.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Capability to read and comprehend specifications and drawings.

• Aptitude for making accurate judgments and calculations.

• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.

• Exceptional Excel capabilities.
