This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collect project information and requirements while establishing priorities

• Conduct quantity takeoffs and production forecasts

• Assess and interpret construction drawings accurately

• Create construction budgets from plans and specifications

• Determine and project costs for each elevation

• Analyze purchase offers along with cost changes, additions, and site requirements

• Solicit bids from vendors and subcontractors

• Specify materials, identify qualified subcontractors, and negotiate pricing

• Maintain cost keys and price masters effectively

• Resolve cost discrepancies through information gathering and analysis

• Generate special reports on information and trends

• Uphold service quality in line with organizational standards

• Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs across work teams

• Enhance professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional organizations

• Collaborate with Project Management on proposals

• Coordinate with Construction Management regarding production rates, schedule milestones, and job sequencing

• Contribute to team efforts and associated results

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years is preferred

• Experience in concrete estimating is required

• Focused on quality

• Preferred experience in tilt-up and commercial flatwork

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Strong budgeting and documentation capabilities

• Experience in vendor relationship management

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe

• Familiarity with construction scheduling

• Capability to develop and manage teams

• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues while making sound decisions

• Valid driver's license

• Willingness to travel less than 25%, with possible travel to meetings and job sites as required

• Must successfully pass a physical exam

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
