This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collect information and requirements while establishing priorities

• Execute quantity takeoffs and production forecasts

• Assess and interpret construction drawings

• Develop construction budgets based on construction plans and project specifications

• Identify and estimate costs for each elevation

• Analyze purchase offers by evaluating changes, additions, and site requirements

• Acquire bids from vendors and subcontractors by detailing materials and identifying qualified subcontractors

• Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors

• Maintain cost keys and price databases

• Resolve cost discrepancies through information collection and analysis

• Create special reports on information and industry trends

• Uphold quality service in accordance with organizational standards

• Document and relay actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs among corporate, division, and local teams

• Enhance professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional organizations

• Collaborate with Project Management to create proposals

• Work with Construction Management to establish production rates, schedule milestones, and job sequences

• Contribute to team efforts and achieve related outcomes

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years is preferred

• Concrete estimating experience is essential

• Quality-focused approach

• Preferred experience in tilt-up and commercial flatwork

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities

• Proficient budgeting and documentation skills

• Experience in vendor relationship management

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe

• Working knowledge of construction scheduling techniques

• Ability to develop and lead teams

• Capacity to identify and resolve complex issues while making sound decisions

• Valid driver’s license required

• Travel requirements are under 25%, with potential travel to meetings and job sites as necessary

• Must be able to pass a physical examination

• US Citizenship is required
